Description

Itinerary:

🌅In the Morning:

  • 7:15 – 7:30 am: Pick-up from hotels in Hanoi Old Quarter.
  • 1.5-hour drive to Incense Village Quang Phu Cau to see artisans making incense with beautiful colors, drying them under the sun, and capturing great photos.
  • Note: If it rains, visit Bat Trang Pottery Village (45 minutes drive) with a pottery workshop. Learn how artisans produce ceramics and make one sample with the instructor.
  • Before 11:30 am: Arrive at Train Street to take photos and videos of the train returning to Hanoi Railway Station. Afterwards, have lunch nearby.


🌞In the Afternoon:

  • Visit Hoa Lo Prison (Maison Centrale or ‘Hanoi Hilton’) which housed Vietnamese revolutionaries and American POWs during the Vietnam War.
  • Explore Temple of Literature, Vietnam’s first university built in the 10th century. Learn about Confucianism and traditional Vietnamese education. See Khue Van Pavilion and the Doctor Stelas on turtle's back.
  • Visit Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum (outside only) and Ba Dinh Square, where President Ho Chi Minh declared Vietnam’s independence on September 2nd, 1945.
  • Drive to West Lake to visit Tran Quoc Pagoda, the oldest pagoda in Vietnam built in 528, and learn more about Buddhism in Vietnam.
  • End the tour with a special Egg Coffee experience.
  • 17:30: Drop-off at your hotel or meeting point. Trip ends.
