SHIBUYA SKY observatory is part of "SHIBUYA SCRAMBLE SQUARE", a commercial complex building in Shibuya, Tokyo.

Take the express elevator to the observatory entrance on the 14th floor to begin exploring the three zones, namely, "SKY GATE", a transition space leading from the 14th floor, where the ticket office is, to the 45th floor, the "SKY GALLERY", an indoor observatory corridor on the 45th floor and the 46th floor, and "SKY STAGE", an outdoor observatory terrace on the 46th floor. The "SKY STAGE" observatory terrace allows you a bird's eye view of the beautiful cityscape of Tokyo from all angles,  making you feel as if you were floating in the air. Standing on the observatory terrace at 229 meters in Shibuya, you can enjoy a panoramic view that stretches from the Tokyo Tower to the Tokyo Skytree, and even to Mt. Fuji!

How to get there:

  • Take the train to Shibuya Station. This facility is directly connected to Shibuya Station


Eligibility:

  • Children 5 years and under (or pre-school children aged 6) can enter for free
  • Children aged 11 and under (or elementary school students up to age 12) must be accompanied by a ticket-holding guardian


Additional Information:

  • Please bring the child to the ticket counter on the 14th floor of SHIBUYA SCRAMBLE SQUARE at the reserved entry time to purchase the ticket
  • Luggage inspections will be carried out before admission
  • Only strollers rented from this facility can be used on the outdoor viewing terrace on the rooftop. To rent a stroller, please go to the information counter on the 46th floor (stroller availability is limited)
  • Photography is allowed, but commercial filming and live broadcasts of programs involving copyrights are prohibited


Prohibitions / Limitations:

  • Beverages & food are prohibited
  • Prohibited items on the outdoor viewing terrace (must be stored in the locker on the 46th floor before entering the rooftop terrace): carry-on backpack/handbag, hat/scarf, tripod/selfie stick, camera that cannot be put in your pocket. Please check the official website for details
  • Pets are not allowed entry except guide dogs and assistance dogs
  • Drinking, smoking, and other dangerous behaviors are prohibited in the facility. Dangerous objects such as bottles, laser pens, etc. are also prohibited
  • Smoking is not allowed throughout the SHIBUYA SKY observatory


Reminder:

  • To ensure visitor safety, the staff may temporarily close the outdoor viewing terrace on the rooftop without prior notice in the event of bad weather conditions such as heavy winds, rain, and snow accumulation
  • To prevent accidents, do not put children on shoulders or carry them in arms
  • The staff will inspect your luggage upon entry and may refuse entry for security concerns
  • Please go to the facility at the time and on the date specified on your ticket. In case of crowding, the staff may carry out occupancy control
  • The roof might be closed to prevent lightning strikes or heat strokes. Rescheduling or refund will not be provided in this case
