Shanghu Lake Scenic Area is located at the southern foot of Yushan Mountain in Changshu. If you are looking for a relaxing park with beautiful scenery to go for a walk in, Shanghu Lake Scenic Area makes an excellent choice. The lake has seven islands including a lotus island, a fishing islet, a songbird island and a peach blossom island, forming the unique scene of islands in a lake and a lake on islands. Every April, the peony show brings Shanghu Lake a lot of tourists. In the summer lotus flowers bloom on the surface of the lake. There is also a lantern festival in the autumn, usually in September-October, when the night garden will be opened.

• Children over 6 to 18 years old are required to purchase a child ticket.
• Full-time students at the undergraduate level or below, with a valid passport or student ID.
• Seniors aged 60 to 69 with valid identification.
• Guests aged 19 to 59 will be required to purchase an adult

• Please wear comfortable sports shoes or flat walking shoes, as the stone paths may be slippery and include gentle slopes.
• Wear comfortable clothing and bring a light jacket, as the bamboo forest is usually cooler than the city.
• Elderly guests, pregnant women, or guests with joint or leg problems should consider their condition carefully and may choose to visit only the area near the entrance.
• Alcohol and drugs, flammable materials, weapons and explosives, hazardous chemicals, dangerous tools, and any other items prohibited by the regulations of the departure or destination country are not permitted.
• Do not enter the water without staff permission. You must always wear a life jacket when entering the dock and while on the water.
