Du Fu Thatched Cottage is a historic literary site in Chengdu that preserves the simple countryside dwelling where the famed Tang poet once lived and wrote. Set within peaceful gardens, the complex combines a traditional thatched residence in the Western Sichuan style with museum galleries that introduce Du Fu’s life, legacy, and masterpieces, allowing visitors to wander, reflect, and sense the tranquil environment that nurtured one of China’s greatest poetic voices.

👥 Eligibility: 

• Adult: Visitors aged 18–59
• Concession (Students/Children): Visitors aged 7–23
• Child (6 years old or below or 1.3 m or below): Free admission with a ticket-holding guardian and valid original ID
• Senior: Visitors aged 60 and above. Free admission with valid original ID

• Pets of any kind, alcohol and drugs, flammable materials, weapons and explosives, hazardous chemicals, dangerous tools, and any other items prohibited by the regulations of the departure or destination country are not permitted.
• Chengdu Du Fu Thatched Cottage Museum requires real-name identification for ticket purchases (supports second-generation ID cards). Original ID cards must be presented for entry. For other types of ID, please purchase tickets at the on-site ticket window.
• Visitors must provide accurate personal identification information when purchasing tickets. Those with mismatched information will not be allowed to enter the museum.
• Visitors who are unable to verify their tickets on the day of visit due to lost, damaged ID or other reasons should apply for a refund on their own.
