At the
Asakusa Sumo Club, enjoy a unique cultural entertainment show that combines live performances, delicious food, and fun. An authentic sumo ring is set up in the center of the venue, providing a realistic experience within the restaurant.
The experience begins with a graceful geisha dance, followed by an introduction to sumo rituals, rules, and training scenes. You can enjoy learning about Japan's national sport with bilingual commentary in Japanese and English.
Former sumo wrestlers will demonstrate traditional techniques and hold a three-bout match to determine the "Champion of the Day." They will also provide fun and easy-to-understand explanations of winning techniques and prohibited moves.
After that, you will have the chance to actually enter the ring and challenge a sumo wrestler! (Participation is limited, and if there are too many applicants, a lottery will be held.)
During the show, you can enjoy all-you-can-eat Chanko-nabe stew and other Japanese dishes.
To conclude the experience, there will be a group photo session with the wrestlers and a souvenir set will be presented to you. It's the perfect memento of your time in Asakusa.
