Dangdang Car
The antique “Dangdang Car” running on the streets of Beijing is modeled after the first tram in Beijing. You will be attracted by its retro temperament at a glance. Riding it for a ride is a unique way to experience the old Beijing style!
-
Why is it called “Dangdang Car”? Dangdang Car is the name of the tram in old Beijing. Because there is a copper bell hanging on the front of the car, as long as the driver steps on the pedal, the bell will make a “dangdang” sound to remind pedestrians to dodge the vehicle. It is the first generation of modern transportation in Beijing. Compared with the past, the “Dangdang” car operating on the streets of Beijing now has restored the original appearance of the Dangdang car except for the lack of a rail and a “big braid”.
