Description

The driver and tour guide will pick you up at your hotel in Shanghai and take a private air-conditioned car to Zhujiajiao Ancient Town, where you can enjoy the beautiful scenery along the way. Zhujiajiao Ancient Town has a history of more than 1,700 years and is known as the Venice of Shanghai. The unique ancient bridges, gurgling water, willow-shaded rivers, and courtyard houses bring people living in the hustle and bustle of modern big cities into a new world of simplicity, leisure, and tranquility.

Upon arrival, follow the guide to explore Zhujiajiao Kezhi Garden, where the architecture is a blend of traditional Chinese and Western styles. It consists of three parts: the main hall, the garden, and the rockery area. The most iconic building in the garden is a five-story pavilion, the tallest building in Old Zhujiajiao.

Come to Zhujiajiao Humanities and Arts Museum and explore the Qing Dynasty Post Office where you can find antique postcards of old Shanghai and letters written on bamboo. Explore the Tongtian River Chinese Medicine Store and take photos of different bridges.

Afterwards, we will go to Zhujiajiao Bridge, where the small bridges, flowing water and houses are as beautiful as a painting. You can take a relaxing boat tour on the canal and enjoy the beautiful scenery around you.

Enjoy lunch at the restaurant at noon to recharge your energy so that you can better visit the next attraction in the afternoon.

After the repair, return to Shanghai and visit Yu Garden, which is the largest ancient garden in the Ming and Qing dynasties in China. Yu Garden is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction. It has a typical Jiangnan garden style and embodies the artistic style of "quiet and beautiful, exquisite and delicate" of southern gardens in the Ming and Qing dynasties. The garden also preserves a considerable number of ancient trees and Ming and Qing furniture, celebrity paintings and calligraphy, clay sculptures and brick carvings, couplets and other cultural relics, which condense the essence of rich Chinese traditional culture and art.

Then visit the City God Temple, which is surrounded by various local snack bars and streets. The main buildings in the temple include the Main Hall, Yuanchen Hall, Parents Hall, Guansheng Hall, Wenchang Hall and other 9 halls. The halls are typical large-scale buildings with red walls and mud tiles in the south. The architectural style still maintains the pattern of the Ming Dynasty. The halls are magnificent, with flying eaves and ridges, colorful rafters and painted buildings, green tiles and red eaves, and are majestic.

Continue to the Bund, where you will see the stunning city skyline including the Oriental Pearl TV Tower, Shanghai World Financial Center, Shanghai Tower, Shanghai Tower and colonial buildings along the Huangpu River. Take a walk and stop to take pictures.

Depart from the Bund and head to the Shanghai Tower, China's tallest building. Take the high-speed elevator to the observation deck, where you can enjoy a panoramic view of the entire city and feel the prosperity of Shanghai.

When you finish your tour, the driver will take you back to your hotel in downtown Shanghai, ending a wonderful day.
