The Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding is a world-famous conservation and research center dedicated to giant pandas and other rare species. Set in a lush, park-like environment, visitors can observe pandas eating, playing, and resting in spacious enclosures, explore themed zones, and learn about global panda protection efforts.

🕒 Opening Hours:

  • Nov 1 – Feb 28 (annually): 8:00 AM–5:30 PM, last admission: 4:30 PM
  • Mar 1 – Oct 31 (annually): 7:30 AM–6:00 PM, last admission: 5:00 PM
  • Recommended sightseeing time: 3–5 hours

👥 Eligibility: 

1. The Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding:

Adult

  • Ages 19–59, based on date of birth and travel date
  • Chengdu 2025 World Games volunteers: One-time free entry between Aug 20, 2025 and Apr 30, 2026 with original ID. No reservation required

B. Student

  • Ages 7–23, based on date of birth and travel date
  • Available to full-time undergraduate students and below (excluding adult education)
  • Ages 7–18: Present passport, Mainland Travel Permit for Taiwan Residents, Hong Kong or Macao travel document to mainland China, PRC Foreign Permanent Resident ID Card, or valid document photo at the no-ID verification channel
  • Ages 18–23: Must be full-time undergraduates and present a valid student ID
  • Visitors who do not meet requirements or lack documentation must pay the price difference on site

C. Senior (60 years and above): Free

  • Ages 60 and above, based on date of birth and travel date
  • Free entry with original ID or passport. No reservation required
  • Valid for one-time entry on the visit day

D. Child (6 years and under or under 1.3 m): Free

  • Ages 6 and under, based on date of birth and travel date
  • Free entry for children aged 6 or below or shorter than 1.3 m
  • No reservation required. Present valid ID for verification upon entry


2. Shuyanfu Winter Feast Experience:

Age: Over 18 up to 59 years old (Eligibility is based on the traveler's age on the travel date, calculated from their date of birth).


3. Lichao Aviation Museum:

  • Age: 19–59 years old (based on date of birth and travel date)
  • Height: 150 cm and above
  • Travelers must meet all of the above requirements

1. Shuyanfu Winter Feast Experience:

  • Duration: Approx. 110 minutes
  • Immersive themed banquet combining traditional Chinese etiquette, live music, dance, and theatrical performances

*Visitor Information:
A. Prohibited items & entry rules:
  • Toy guns, umbrellas, scooters, pets, and any items posing potential safety risks are not allowed
  • Controlled knives, flammable or explosive items, lighters, food and beverages, toys, strong-smelling items, unpackaged fragile items, sharp objects, or anything affecting public safety, exhibit safety, or visitor experience are prohibited
  • Intoxicated visitors, those inappropriately dressed, or individuals without or with limited civil capacity who are unaccompanied by a guardian may be denied entry
B. On-site conduct & photography:
  • Smoking, throwing objects, crossing barriers, or entering closed aircraft cabins is strictly prohibited
  • Large professional photography or videography equipment is not allowed
  • Continuous audio or video recording during the visit is prohibited
C. Admission & ID verification:
  • Adult ticket holders may enter by presenting a passport, Mainland Travel Permit for Taiwan Residents, Hong Kong or Macao travel document, or PRC Foreign Permanent Resident ID Card (original or photo) at the non-ID verification channel
D. Important panda viewing notice:
  • Giant pandas prefer cool temperatures. When outdoor temperatures exceed 26°C, pandas may be moved indoors
  • Panda Villas 4, 5, and 6 do not have indoor viewing areas. Please visit Panda Villas 1, 2, 3, 7, the Moonlight Delivery Room, or other available sections instead
